DAY.01 ARRIVAL MUMBAI
Welcome in India. Upon arrival at Mumbai airport meet, assistance and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free for personal activities. Over night stay at hotel.
DAY.02 IN MUMBAI
After morning breakfast proceed for half day city tour of Mumbai includes -
Gateway of India: The Gateway of India is the main attraction of Mumbai city. It was built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary for the Delhi Durbar in 1911. Situated at the Apollo Bunder, the gateway holds greater historical significance as the last of the British troops that left India by sea, marched through its portals. The monument is complete with four turrets and intricate latticework carved into the yellow basalt stone. You can also go for a short cruise through Mumbai's natural harbour in one of the little motor launches that are stationed here.
Prince of Wales Museum: The Prince of Wales museum is another major attraction of Mumbai. Built in the year 1914, it is surrounded by a beautiful landscape forming an ideal getaway for the people of Mumbai. The museum houses art, sculpture, rare coins, and old firearms and a priceless collection of miniature paintings. The Prince of Wales museum is regarded as one of the best museums in the country.
Marine Drive: A stroll down the Marine Drive is the best way to discover Mumbai. This winding stretch of road with tall buildings on one side and sea on the other extends from Nariman Point to Malabar Hills. Due to its curved shape and many streetlights, it was once called the Queen's Necklace. A popular sea front, Marine Drive is also the main thoroughfare linking for the Malabar Hills to the southernmost points of Colaba, Cuffe Parade, Nariman Point, and the Fort.

DAY.03 MUMBAI / DELHI BY AIR
After breakfast transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi. Upon arrival meet, assistance and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free for personal activities.

DAY.04 IN DELHI
After breakfasts proceed for full day City Tour of Old & New Delhi includes:-
India Gate: Situated on Rajpath, in the center of Delhi, this 42-meter high arch was designed by Edwin Lutyens, in memory of the Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the First World War their names can be seen inscribed on the arch. The Amar Jawan Jyoti, an eternal flame, burns in memory of the unknown soldier, beneath the shelter of the arch, which is surrounded by green lawns, fountains and water bodies - an evergreen picnic zone in the heart of central Delhi..
Rashtrapati Bhawan: The president's mansion is situated on Raisina Hill in the center of Delhi, overlooking the green lawns around India Gate. This elegant building is truly worth seeing, for its architectural beauty and historic significance. The beautiful Mughal Gardens of Rashtrapati Bhawan, which are open to the public in spring, are an added attraction.
Parliament House: Located in Central Delhi, this elegant building with its wide pillared walkways and large halls is worth a visit, to see the corridors of power where India's lawmakers and statesmen decide the future of India.
Red Fort: Built in Red Sand stone this imposing fort is 3 kms in perimeter with the height of the wall varying from 18 to 30 meters at places. When the Red fort was being built Yamuna used to flow on its one sides and there were deep moats on the other. Today Yamuna flows almost a kilometer away from the fort and the moats has dried up. In the evening the Delhi Tourism organizes a light and sound show which narrates the history of Delhi in context of the Red Fort. The Lahore gate, the main entrance, has some emotions and sentiments attached with the Indian independence as the Tricolor flutters on the top of this gate. On 15th August the Indian Prime minister addresses the nation from here. As soon one enters in the fort from the Lahore gate .The Dewan-i-Am or the place of public hearing had a wall paneled with marble in laid with precious stone, which were removed during the mutiny of 1857. The Dewan-i-Khas or the place for special hearing was the area where the emperor used to hold meetings with his ministers.
Jami Masjid : the country's largest mosque where thousands of Muslims offer prayers every day. It took over 14 to complete and was built in 1656. It lies opposed the Red Fort. The flight of stairs and its large courtyard are marvels of architecture. It has three gateways, four angle towers and two minarets standing 40 metres high and constructed of alternating vertical strips of red sandstone and white marble. Broad flights of steps lead up to the imposing gateways. The eastern gateway was originally only opened for the emperor, and is now only open on Fridays and Muslim festival days.
Raj Ghat: the last resting place of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation.Lying close to the Raj Ghat, the Shanti Vana (literally, the forest of peace) is the place where India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was cremated.
Birla Mandir Laxmi Narayan Temple: It was built by the industrialist Raja Baldev Birla in 1938. The temple is an important prayer center and contains idols of several deities. Interestingly, Mahatma Gandhi, who inaugurated the temple, was also a regular visitor to it.
Lotus Temple: This aesthetically designed monument, commonly known as the Lotus Temple, because the white marble structure is built to in the shape of a lotus, set amidst, lakes and green lawns. It is a serene house of meditation, within which there are no idols and total silence prevails, so all can meditate in complete peace.
Qutub Minar: The Qutub Minar was started in the 12th C and it was completed in the 13th C. This ornate tower attracts many international visitors who climb to the top for breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The Qutub Minar rises over 230 feet in the air, has five stories and is covered with intricate carvings. The first three stories are made of red sandstone, the fourth and fifth stories were built with marble and sandstone. The carvings feature the history of Qutub and inscriptions from the Koran. The complex surrounding the Qutub Minar includes the Quwwat-ul-Islam Masjid, a mosque located at the base of the tower; the gateway built in 1310; the tombs of Altamish, Alauddin Khalji and Imam Zamin, and a 2000 year old Iron Pillar- the Alai Minar. It has been struck by lightning and survived several earthquakes, despite the wear and tear the Qutub Minar has a slight tilt but has weathered the centuries well,

DAY.06 IN JAIPUR
After breakfast proceed for sight seeing tour of beautiful Pink City Jaipur
includes -
Hawa Mahal : is one of the most common and popular tourist attractions in Jaipur. Hawa Mahal was basically used as a veil by the royal women folk to watch the proceedings on the road below. Today it is the one of most visited monuments in Jaipur.
The City Palace: is another beautiful landmark that was built by Kachchwah Rajput rulers of Jaipur. The City Palace is a classic example of Mughal and Rajput architecture. A part of the palace today is museum that houses a collection of rare manuscripts, weapons, Mughal carpets and costumes, and Mughal and Rajasthani miniatures.
Jantar Mantar: Observatory is one of the five observatories that were built by the king. The observatory was built to study the movement of stars. The observatory is built in stone and marble. Built on the hilltop outside Jaipur.
The Amber Fort:
was built by Raja Man Singh in the 16th century and was completed by Sawai
Jai Singh in the 18th century. The fort offers magnificent views of the
surrounding area. The fort is a mix of Mughal and Rajput architecture and is
built in red sandstone and white marble. The Amber Fort in Rajasthan is a
popular tourist attraction. The Amber fort in Jaipur is a classic example of
the Architectural style of the Rajputs. One finds a smooth amalgamation of
Hindu and Mughal architecture in the construction of the Amber Fort. Raja
Man Singh built the imposing fort on the remains of an earlier construction.
It was completed by Raja Sawai Jai Singh II. The Amber Fort of Rajasthan was
constructed in the year 1592 and was modified over a period of 150 years by
successive rulers. Read on to know more about the famous Amber Fort of
Jaipur, which should not be missed while traveling in India.
The Amber Fort is an elaborate structure that has massive gardens alongwith
elaborately built gateways, pavilions, temples, beautiful palaces, etc. The
interiors are elaborately decorated with exquisite carvings and mirror work
and the fort is famous for structures such as Diwan-E-Aam (hall for the
public), Sukh Niwas, Kali Temple and Shila Mata Temple. A perfectly
manicured garden known as the Kesar Kyari adds to the beauty of the Fort.
The imposing structure is built of red and white sandstone. The top of the
fort can be reached by riding on elephants while soaking in the timeless
beauty of Jaipur.
One of the most exquisite creations in the Amber Fort is the Sheesh Mahal.
Literally translated, it means the Palace of Mirrors. A big hall that is
filled with thousands of tiny mirrors all over, the Sheesh Mahal never fails
to amuse onlookers. It is said that during the days of yore, a single tiny
candle would illuminate the entire hall. The tiny and intricate mirrors are
preserved till date and look as royal as they did then. A visit to the Amber
Fort is absolutely essential if you want to see real untouched beauty.

DAY.08 IN AGRA
After breakfast visit - TAJ MAHAL: One of the Seven Wonders of the World surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan's beloved wife.
AGRA FORT : The rusty and majestic red-sandstone fort of Agra stands on the banks of the river Yamuna and Emperor Akbar started the construction in 1566. At the Diwan-I-Am (hall of public audience), a colonnaded hall of red-sandstone with a throne alcoveof inlaid marble at the back,the Emperor heard public petitions. At the Diwan-I-Khas (hall of private audience) where marble pavilions with floral inlays lend an ethereal ambience, the Emperor sat on his gem-studded peacock Throne and met foreign ambassadors and rulers of friendly kingdoms.

DAY.09 AGRA / MATHURA / DELHI BY SURFACE (200 KMS )

DAY.10 DELHI / HARIDWAR / RISHIKESH BY SURFACE (260 KMS)
After breakfast proceed to Rishikesh Enroute visit Haridwar - is an ageless pilgrimage destination, held in reverence for centuries. Several temples and ashrams are found in this town and a visit to Haridwar is like stepping into a comletely different world.
Mansa Devi: It is located on top of a hill called the Bilwa Parvat, the Manas Devi Temple is worth visiting. The temple can be reached by the rope way or one can take the normal trekking route to the top. The top of the hill gives you an excellent view of Haridwar.
IN EVENING ATTEND GANGA AARTI AT HAR KI PAURI - It is one of the most sacred ghats in India. It is said that this ghat was built by Vikramaditya in memory of his brother Bhartrihari. Also known as Brahmakund, the Ghat is magnificently illuminated in the evening during a Maha Aarti performed on this ghat.

DAY.11 IN RISHIKESH
After breakfast Full day Excursion of Rishikesh represents the Gateway to the Himalayas in the Tehri-Garhwal region of UTTRANCHAL Several temples dot the banks of the Ganga at Rishikesh .
Tapovan on the other bank of the Ganges houses a temple to Lakshmana. It is believed that Lakshmana carried out penances here.
The Rama Jhula, a 450 feet long suspension bridge was built in 1939. Also seen here are the Swargashram and the Geeta Bhavan temples.
